Artifact Loan Program
Our goal has always been to put learning in the hands of children.
The Lutz Children's Museum maintains a large education collection
of scientific and historical artifacts for loan to schools
and other educators. These items travel in big boxes we call
"kits".
More information is available from our staff. Contact Anne Leonard at (aleonard@lutzmuseum.org) or 860-643-0949.
Educational Philosophy
“The Lutz Children’s Museum was established to
foster imagination, arouse curiosity, and promote museums
as resources for lifelong learning. Our staff of highly qualified
museum curators strives to deliver only extraordinary programs
that stimulate the learner’s senses and promote a love
of learning”.
The entire collection and kit program is in the process of being reviewed and improved. A limited number of kits are still available. New kits will contain teacher's materials and references to state standards. This process is expected to continue throughout 2007.
